These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the I'll Task It platform ("the Platform"), operated by I'll Task It Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. The Platform is an online marketplace that connects clients seeking services with verified contractors and businesses ("Contractors") across the United Kingdom.

By creating an account, posting a job, submitting a bid, or using any feature of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering, and to keep your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We use two-factor authentication to protect your account; you must not share or bypass verification codes. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Clients post jobs describing the work required, receive bids from Contractors, select a Contractor, and pay through the Platform's escrow system. Clients agree to provide honest job descriptions and fair access to the work site.

Contractors submit bids for posted jobs, complete work to an agreed standard, and receive payment upon client confirmation. Contractors must hold valid insurance, relevant qualifications, and any certifications required for their trade. Contractor profiles are subject to admin approval before bidding is enabled.

Administrators oversee platform integrity, approve contractor applications, resolve disputes, and enforce these Terms.

Clients may post jobs free of charge. Job descriptions must not contain direct contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, or external links); the Platform filters these automatically to keep communication within the app until a Contractor is selected.

Contractors may submit one bid per job. Bids include a price, estimated duration, and optional notes. Clients may accept, reject, or counter-offer bids. Once a bid is accepted, all other bids are automatically declined.

Finder Fee. When a Client selects a Contractor, a non-refundable £5 finder fee is charged to the Client to unlock in-app messaging and proceed with the engagement.

Escrow. The Client funds the agreed job price into escrow before work begins. Funds are held securely by our payment provider (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix) and released to the Contractor only when the Client confirms the job is complete.

Success Fee. Contractors pay a success fee upon winning a bid, as set in the Platform Settings. This fee is deducted from the agreed price before payout.

Membership. Contractors may subscribe to a membership plan for enhanced visibility and reduced fees. Membership is billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time.

All payments are processed in GBP. We do not permit cash payments or off-platform bank transfers between users.

Escrow funds are held until the Client confirms completion. If a dispute arises, either party may raise it through the Platform. Funds remain held in escrow until the dispute is resolved.

Administrators review disputes and may release funds to the Contractor, refund the Client, or split the funds based on the evidence provided. Decisions are final and binding within the Platform.

For unresolved disputes, parties retain their statutory rights under UK consumer law.

You must not: post false or misleading job descriptions; submit bids you do not intend to honour; attempt to contact another user outside the Platform before messaging is unlocked; circumvent fees or escrow; harass or threaten other users; or use the Platform for any illegal purpose.

Violations may result in bid cancellation, account suspension, score penalties, or permanent removal from the Platform.

The Platform acts as an intermediary and does not itself provide the services listed. We are not a party to the contract between Client and Contractor. We are not liable for the quality, timeliness, or completeness of work performed by Contractors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, fail verification, or pose a risk to other users. You may delete your account at any time through the Platform's account settings; deletion is logged for audit purposes.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection law provides otherwise.
